EFK 9mm threaded barrel Sig P226

Posted by Gary Tracy on 9th Jun 2026

Proper fit, drop-in installation. Price was VERY high, but I paid it for the versatility of the Sig P226 platform. It shoots and operates well. My problem? Once installed in the weapon, there is NO 9mm marking visible on the barrel. The barrel is marked 9mm on the wrong side of the ejection port. (The side you can’t read while the barrel is installed.) With a weapon such as the Sig P226, that is capable of handling .40 cal, .357 Sig, and 9mm, it would be incredibly easy to load the wrong caliber ammunition and cause serious injury. It’s just too easy to mark the portion of the barrel that’s visible in the ejection port with the “caliber” of that barrel. Everyone does it. Really disappointed with this purchase because of that.
