EFK Fire Dragon Threaded Barrels
THESE ARE SOME OF THE FINEST PISTOL BARRELS MADE IN THE WORLD!
Because of the care exercised in manufacturing and our refusal to compromise on any step of the process.

  • We use the finest material available (type 416 Stainless Steel)
  • Machining processes are accomplished on CNC equipment for close-tolerance production.
  • Heat treating is done in a vacuum furnace for clean, consistent hardness of 40-42Rc

The end result is a good-looking, top-quality barrel with consistent, accurate and long-lasting performance. And don't forget the service. We deal with our customers on a personal level to ensure their complete satisfaction on all of our products.

Industry standard is 150 rounds to break in a barrel.

***When a barrel contains the word "conversion", it means these barrels work only in 40S&W and .357 converting to 9mm.

You cannot go from a 9mm to a 40S&W or 357Sig

For best results converting to 9mm from 40 S&W use a 9mm mag.

    ported 9mm convert works

Posted by paul on 17th Jan 2025

This was my first EFK barrel to try, and I'm hoping it wasn't a fluke considering how awesome it is. The other options for conversion from .40 to 9mm seem to require more work and/or parts. This, for me, was a simple drop-in barrel that worked flawlessly. I was even using .40 magazines (in addition to 9mm 229-1 mag) that fed fine, and the .40 recoil spring assembly worked. I've only run 3-4 mags through so the barrel isn't "broken in" and I'm not sure if/how that will change the grouping. At 10 yards on a B-8 bulls, I had a good group in the 8-ring that was 3.25" south of X center. Even though a .40 won't feed into a 9mm, I like having the barrel extension which gives an immediate visual reference of what's in the gun to avoid loading issues. Very happy Sig fan!

Engraving of caliber where you ca see it

I just received the 9 mm conversion barrel for my Sig P229. I would have given it 5+ stars if it wasn’t for the engraving on the barrel caliber where you cannot see it. It’s on the opposite side and covered by the slide. I find this to be a potential issue if somebody isn’t aware that this is a 9 mm barrel and they try to put a .357 Sig or .40 cal bullet in the chamber. Frank San Jose, Ca.
